Good Morning Beauties,
It’s Monday and the last day of August and we are entering a new month and a new season.
My prayer is that we get through this season with our eyes fixed on Him and His promises and more than ever in prayer.
I know a lot of us have lost a lot this year, lost jobs, homes, loved ones, our health and it’s been a rough season to say the least, but I can’t help to still have peace and focus on Gods beauty. We have a choice to focus on the chaos and the ugliness that is going on around in the world or we can continue believing that God is still on the throne. I am not in denial of what’s going on because as believers, we have been warned that these things will happen and that we will be going through various of testing’s and trials but to have peace, because Jesus has overcome the world.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 ( NIV )
Last week my husband and I had the opportunity to take a mini vacation, a time to rest, pray and enjoy Gods beauty. Since COVID, my husband hasn’t stopped working, thank God, but he is one to keep going and going even on weekends and well if I don’t plan anything, we are not going anywhere but, so thankful for his hardworking ethics.
We were blessed to be able to go to Estes Park Colorado, one of our favorite vacations places to go to, it’s close to home and we both enjoy the scenery, especially driving up there.
Every time we go up there, I don’t want to come back home, but God gives me the grace to know it’s time to come back home rested, with a new perspective and work on the assignments He has given me to work on. My husband comes back rested and refreshed and it’s a win win for both of us.
While we were there, we couldn’t help but to enjoy Gods creation and Beauty, it’s all around you. For the life of me I don’t understand how someone does not believe there is a God. A God who created the heavens and the earth for us to enjoy.
The beautiful mountains, the pine, spruce and, Douglas trees, the rushing rivers, lakes, the waterfalls, the sunrises and the sunsets, the Elk that are as huge as eight feet tall and weigh about 700 pounds and the female elk calling and then nursing their babies, now this is something you don’t see every day and not in Missouri.
I was in such peace and joy, I needed to see so much more than just the four walls of my house and back yard, though beautiful and all and so grateful for.
But after getting sick for four times from December till March and still trying to heal from respiratory issues, sometimes you just need time to get away to a new scenery and atmosphere away from the familiar, the negative media and social media too. A time to rest and focus and hear clearly from God.
And in that place to be able to share Gods beauty, peace and joy instead of all the chaos and negative news we see day after day. It can become very depressing if that’s all you watch and focus on.
Jesus said He came to give us life and life more abundantly.
I have come that they may have life and may have it more abundantly. A thief comes to steal, kill and destroy But I came to give life-life that is full and good. John 10:10
Here are a few photos I took during our trip.
Hope you enjoy,
