I don’t know about you, but with all the things that are going on in the world it can rob you of your peace and joy if you let it, and on top of that you may have trouble in your marriage family, finances, health, and work and yet it’s not a surprise to God, because nothing is hidden that God is not already aware of.
“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight, everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” Hebrews 4:13 NIV
But there’s is something wonderful about gazing on His beauty, His creation and His word that gives us peace, joy, hope, courage, and strength amid chaos and ugly.
If we are not gazing on Him and His word, then we are focusing all that is going on in the world, in our lives and in the lives of others. We can’t control anything or anyone but there is a Big God who is mighty and powerful and is in control despite of what’s going on. Hard to comprehend this, but He is, He may not move fast enough or like we would like Him too, but He does answer.
“One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and too Meditate in His temples. Psalms 27:4
He gives us peace during chaos. A peace that surpasses all understanding.
He tells us in His word,
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the Peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
We were never promised that we would not go through troubles and tribulations, but He did promise to give us peace and the joy of the Lord to be our strength.
“Do not grieve for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand.” Nehemiah 8:10
God knew that some days or even seasons we would feel afraid and discouraged, that’s why there are so many scriptures in His word that encourages us to not be afraid and not be discouraged and to trust in Him.
He is our refuge and strength and everlasting help in trouble. Psalm 46:1-3
My prayer:
May we put our hope and trust in Him, everything else is uncertain, but God remains the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He is not moved by what’s going on or by our circumstances, He is moved by our FAITH in Him and His word.
I believe God, help my unbelief.
Your promises are yes and amen!!
You are Faithful!
