Good Morning Beauties,
I wanted to share a little bit about the Christmas Tea Party I hosted in California.
The women told me they were very blessed, but I was the one that was blessed. I love getting women together to fellowship, encourage and pray for another. I personally don't get to do this very much so maybe this is why I enjoy it so much.
I think women should get together more often to be able to laugh and cry and be transparent with one another. In fact God encourages us to do so especially if you're hurting.
Therefore as Gods chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Colossians 3:12-14
This is the most important to me even if it doesn't turn out exactly the way you wanted it too, but what really does.
I wanted a cozy fire which ended up smoking out the house because my mom hadn't used her fireplace in years, so fire alarms went off and here I am with a towel trying to get the smoke away from the alarm so it will shut off.
It didn't start on time and well, I decided to start the women with a cup of tea while waiting for the other women to arrive.
After the women enjoyed a cup of tea, I then read an excerpt from my book Inner Beauty, Fearfully and Wonderfully made and they were very blessed and it opened it up for more women to share their story and encourage one another.
Since it was getting late I began to serve lunch and more tea for the women to enjoy and the women to get to know one another. Serving the lunch and tea is one of my favorite things to do, there is something so special about serving and making the other person feel worthy of blessing. And this is what I wanted the women to feel, that they are worthy and beautiful of receiving Gods love and blessings.
Although I didn't have all my tea equipment I do at home, I made it work.
After the women's bellies were content, I sang a classic Christmas favorite of mine, O' Come Emmanuel.
I wanted to worship the Lord and give Him honor.
We then ended with playing a few games to raffle, some gifts I wanted to bless the women with and that was a lot of fun.
Maybe you already do this with one of your friends or several friends, but for those that don't, I encourage you to do this.
Have a cup of tea, open up, encourage one another, pray for one another for this can be the greatest source of love, healing and joy.
